The club has recently had some success with the Total Prodigy U18 team going to The Sport Source College Showcase in Plano, Texas December fourth and fifth. The girls got off on the right foot, winning 1-0 against Dallas based team Comets. Marin scored the only goal in the game following up a shot from Drianna which hit off the crossbar, with Marin staying focused in front of net to score the games only winner off of the rebound.
Total Prodigy continued their strong play, wining 2-0 over Denton, Texas based team Aces 92 Black. Drianna scored the first goal, finally getting on the scoresheet after hitting the crossbar in game one. The real story of the game came from the second goal scorer, as Rachel got on the scoresheet through some smart play. Receiving the ball from Nikki, Rachel had the composure to settle the ball and finish in her first game back after returning from her ACL knee injury.
The final game was a very difficult outing due to the opposition, refs, and the fact that it was their third game in two days. Staying focused however, they were able to get the opening goal of the game through another Drianna goal. Lacey Ragar raced down the wing to provide a bangu ball to Drianna who slotted home. The match stayed scoreless until their opposition was able to score with just 15 minutes remaining. Megan made the original save, but her clearance was only as far as an attacking player who wasted no time slotting it near post. The results were enough however to send the girls to the top of the group, remaining unbeaten in the College Showcase as they won their division.
