TDSC U15 & U17 Girls Dominate in the Heartland Division

In the opening weekend of play, the Total Demize Soccer Club U-17 girls team dominated in both of their games, scoring four goals on the road to a 2 - 0 season opener.

Rachel took the leading point getter spot for the season, notching two goals and an assist over the course of both games.  She is tied for leading goal scorer with Erica, who netted twice in TDSC’s victory over KC Legends.

From the starting whistle, TDSC had the better of the Legends, with Rachel and Megan getting assists.  The Legends only registered one shot on goal the entire match, resulting in their lone goal of the game.

There was little time to rest up as next were the KC Strikers 90/91 team, and the TDSC team showed the same sort of skill to ease past their KC rivals 2 - 0, with Rachel getting both goals.

Marin got the first assist, while Rachel bagged and tagged her second after being taken down in the box.  The All-Region midfielder showed her confidence to calmly dispatch the second goal of the day.

The KC Strikers offense were shut down, with no shots on goal.  Megan and Sarah shared clean sheets in the second game.  Not only were the U17 girls strong on the offensive front, the TDSC defense was in full control for the 180 minutes played in Kansas City, completely shutting down one of Kansas City’s strongest teams in the Legends, and giving no chance to the KC Strikers.

The U-17 squad will have nearly a month off until they play Bayern Munich and Metro Elite at Heritage Park in Kansas City on Sunday, September 20.

Also traveling to Kansas City last weekend was the TDSC U-15 girls squad.  The young squad is in it’s inaugural season in the Heartland division, never having competed in the league.

Drianna got the ball rolling in the U-15’s direction, getting the lone goal in a 1 - 0 win over the Metro Elite Blitz 94/95.  Three players were able to play through their injuries, while two were forced to the sidelines.  The TDSC girls fought to a 1-1 tie with the Blue Valley Huskies, Brittany getting the goal, the first to be scored on the Huskies this season as they had recorded two previous shutouts.
